CHENNAI: A senior assistant loco pilot Aiswarya S Menon from Chennai railway division has been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new Union cabinet in New Delhi on Sunday.
Currently, driving the Vande Bharat Express, Menon was selected because she has completed more than two lakh footplate hours piloting various trains, including Vande Bharat Express and Jan Shatabdi.
She has received accolades from senior officials for her alertness and comprehensive knowledge of railway signalling.
She has been regularly working on the Chennai–Vijayawada and Chennai–Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express services since their introduction.
Loco pilots from many railway zones are being invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
